Michael Turnbull, PGA Professional & Coach

Michael Turnbull

Michael Turnbull

Michael Turnbull has been teaching golf since 1977 and this is his sixth year at Brookview. A three-time winner of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Leader award, he has also served as the PGA Head Professional at Balboa Park GC in San Diego and at Baker National GC in Medina, Minnesota.

During the golf season Michael co-hosts the TeeMaster Golf Show on AM1500 KSTP radio and appears regularly on the most-watched local golf TV show in Minnesota, Golf Bound on KARE11.

Mindful Golf Lessons

Michael emphasizes learning by doing, rather than thinking about doing.  You will learn from each and every shot you hit. You won’t have to memorize a series of movements, remember a lot of instructions, or try really hard to do anything right.  Students will have many choices about how they want to swing a golf club, instead of trying so hard to swing the “right” way.

Isn’t it time that golf felt natural?

Kevin Madden

Kevin Madden is originally from Roseville, Minnesota, where he played hockey, lacrosse and golf in high school. Kevin is currently a supervisor at Life Time Fitness Indoor Golf Club. He is learning under PGA Head Professional Matt Just as he starts down the road to becoming a PGA Professional.

Teaching Philosophy

Kevin's teaching style is basic fundamentals. He emphasizes an athletic set-up position with good posture to improve balance, control, and consistency—resulting in a more efficient move with a square clubface at impact.  He specializes in improving short game technique, working with beginners/junior golfers, on-course instruction, and correcting swing flaws.
