Michael Turnbull, PGA Professional

Michael Turnbull

Michael Turnbull

MICHAEL TURNBULL has been teaching golf since 1977, and has been teaching at Brookview since 2005. A three-time winner of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Leader award, he also served as the PGA Head Professional at Balboa Park GC in San Diego and at Baker National GC in Medina, Minnesota.

Michael emphasizes learning by doing, rather than thinking about doing. You will learn from each and every shot you hit. You won’t have to memorize a series of movements, remember a lot of instructions, or try really hard to do anything right. Students will have many choices about how they want to swing a golf club, instead of trying so hard to swing the “right” way.

During the golf season Michael co-hosts the “TeeMaster Golf Show” on AM 1500 KSTP radio and appears regularly on KARE 11’s “Golf Bound,” the most watched local golf TV show in Minnesota.

Dee Forsberg McCullagh, PGA Professional

Dee Forsberg

Dee Forsberg

DEE FORSBERG MCCULLAGH, the 2009 Minnesota Section PGA Teacher of the year, is in her third season at Brookview Golf Course. With 20 years of experience teaching golfers of all abilities, she is confident she can help you hit it straighter and farther on the golf course.

Dee’s prescriptive advice is never complicated and her lesson notes and practice plans are a wonderful resource to have along when you go to the practice range. She uses high-speed video in her lessons to both assess your golf swing and provide you with the proper visual images necessary for improvement.

In addition to teaching golf, Dee covers the local golf scene, golf travel, and provides tips to help your game in her blog “Tee Up!,” published weekly for Twin Cities Business Magazine in the Living Well Section.

A former Minnesota Gopher, Dee played both collegiate and professional golf before joining the PGA of America. Highlights of her competitive days include two state championship titles, two collegiate medalist honors, and a professional career that included play on the European Women’s Tour.
