2011 Junior Group Lessons

Lessons take place at the Brookview Lesson Tee, unless otherwise noted.

Junior 101 (Beginner)

Ages 6 - 16
$75

Junior Golf 101 offers a fun and engaging curriculum that will center on the fundamentals for both the full swing and short game. In addition, sportsmanship and simple rules will be emphasized during every lesson. Each student will receive individual time with the PGA golf professional and receive creative tips and drills to help with skill building. Golfers will be grouped by age and ability. Class meets for four 60-minute lessons. Golf clubs and balls will be provided. Class size is 6–14 students.

Junior Golf 201 offers flexible lesson plans that will allow your budding golfer to improve upon his/her golf skills all summer long. This class will focus on moving from skill development to skill mastery through creative drills and training techniques. Class meets for four 60-minute lessons. Golf clubs and balls will be provided. Class size is 6–14 students.

Brookview Junior Girls Club

Wednesdays, June 22–July 27, 9–10 am
$115
Participants in this six-week golf program for girls ages 8–14 will have fun, make new friends, and improve their golf skills. Each week we will cover the skills necessary to play the game as well as incorporate basic rules, etiquette, and golf terminology to enable the Brookview Girls to become confident golfers. Class meets for six 60-minute lessons. Class size is 4–8 students.

Junior Players Club

Wednesdays, June 22–July 27, 2–4 pm
$200

This co-ed lesson program is for junior varsity and varsity level high school golfers committed to improving their game. Focus is placed on playing skills, practice drills, tournament preparation, goal setting, and confidence building. Video analysis and lesson notes are included in the training sessions. Class meets for six two-hour lessons. Class size is 4–8 students.

Registration begins in mid-March and is on a first-come, first-served basis through Golden Valley’s Park & Recreation Department.
