Golf Digest: Brookview One Of "Best Places To Play"

The City of Golden Valley’s Brookview Golf Course was named one of the “Best Places to Play” this summer by the readers of Golf Digest. The course received a four-star rating, which is listed as “outstanding—plan your next vacation around it.”

This year’s “Best Places to Play” rated nearly 6,000 courses in North America and the Islands. The courses, ranked from one to five stars, were evaluated by approximately 20,000 Golf Digest readers. Readers called Brookview a “nice muni course” with a “fun layout,” “lengthy par 5s,” “nice greens,” and “great views on holes 16, 17 and 18.” They also rated the course a “good, fair test” that is “inexpensive” and “close to downtown.” Another reader summarized Brookview as a “very good course that keeps getting better with age.”

Brookview Golf Operations Manager Ben Disch says the staff is honored with the recognition. “The credit goes to the maintenance staff, who provide excellent course conditions, day in, day out,” he says.
